What is the offer?
To provide broadband, computers and training and the ability to upload content to the public libraries of New Zealand to allow all customers to take advantage of access and content.

What is the rollout timetable?
Phase 1 November 2007 -  May 2008. 

Phase 2 applications closed February 2008.
Phase 2 installations May-September 2008.  

Will there be a cost to public libraries to join?
Public libraries will have to provide furniture and cabling internal to the building. They will also need to make time available for library staff to complete the training that is offered.

Will Internet access at partner libraries be free?
Yes. Public library partners will all guarantee not to charge for Internet access from People’s Network computers.

Computer installations have been completed in Gisborne, Wairoa and the Central Hawke's Bay towns of Waipukurau and Waipawa.  Preparation is now under way for the South Taranaki District libraries in September and the Top of the South libraries (Tasman, Marlborough and Nelson) in October.
